About Cowdenbeath FC

For anyone who is not familiar with Scottish football, ‘The Blue Brazil’ is the nickname of Cowdenbeath FC, a professional football team which plays its home games from Central Park in the town of Cowdenbeath, in west Fife.

Cowdenbeath FC was founded in 1881, when two clubs: Cowdenbeath Thistle and Cowdenbeath Rangers, merged: Given that the club still thrives today, these origins make The Blue Brazil the oldest surviving football club based in Fife, thanks to the support of a loyal fan base and the success of the club in competition, decade after decade.
