Chrome Extensions Now Available For Mac Users

It took Google over a  year to get a version of their Chrome web browser onto Apple’s systems but thankfully, now that it is available, things seem to be progressing much faster.

Yesterday saw an update to the Mac browsers development channel which means that users willing to put up with some of the beta browsers imperfections are able to install and play with extensions.  As we reported on their PC launch last month, extensions allow Google Chrome users to expand the functionality of the browser through both first and third party addon software; much like the add-ons that are available for Firefox.

This is great news for Mac fans who were undoubtedly worried after the lengthy initial wait for the browser to come to their system, but it looks like the Google team are now on top of things and the browser is progressing at a similar speed to the PC version.
