Google Buzz seems to be getting a pretty difficult time of it recently. Initially it was difficult to see how the service could fail – people like social networking, right? They sure use Google a lot, so the rich creamy mixture of both must surely be baked into web-service-cake liked by everyone, right?!

Well, it seems that not everyone was totally convinced by the initial implementation of Buzz, concerns of privacy soon surfaced.
It seems that things may still not be running so smoothly. UK based technology news site, The Register, is reporting that there is a “cross-site scripting” vulnerability that could divulge a users location through the much-talked-about Google Location Services.
El Reg talked to a Google spokesman who said that the issue could affect mobile users of Google Buzz, while also saying that their security personnel were fixing the issue, and that it was not thought that the fault had been actively exploited.
This issue may be fixed quickly, but the constant drip-dripping of negative stories about Buzz must be a cause for concern for Google. Will all these stories create a weight-of-opinion in user’s minds? Can any service survive such an apparently faltering start?
