Facebook Looks to Improve Usability With the New and Improved Help Center

Despite its massive growth over the last year Facebook has never been the most intuitive website to use.  With the New Year (and indeed new decade) looming over us Facebook has decided to take the opportunity to launch a brand new help centre to help users get the most out of the social networking service.

The new help centre will both introduce and improve upon a number of features such as:

-    A newly improved search function which works across multiple languages and offers users a greater number of related help topics.

-    An improved navigation system on the left hand side of the help centre will allow users to filter out results from separate parts of the help area (for example user-to-user or FAQs).

-    A separate area for user-to-user support.  This area will allow users to both ask and answer questions, a feature which utilises the huge online community to help users gain quick answers to some of the less common queries that aren’t answered in the FAQs.

-    Unique URLs for each question in the FAQ section meaning that they are much easier to send to friends or family members that may be looking for information.

This much improved help centre should prove to be a very useful resource for the many new members that are flocking to the Facebook community every day.
