Google Moderator – Canvas The Opinion Of Thousands

The Google Public Sector Blog has just put up some examples of how Google Moderator, the online question and idea voting system, has been used in real world applications. The idea is a beautifully simple one, allow users to ask questions, then allow other users to vote on how important they consider those questions are.

One of those examples is from the UK’s own Conservative Party using Google Moderator to canvas user’s questions for their Draft Manifesto site. At the time of writing, over 1400 people have submitted over 650 questions and cast over 23,000 votes. Just shows how Moderator can be used to retrieve the opinions of a huge number of people.

Google Moderator looks to be a powerful (and free) tool for businesses. More information can be found on the Google Public Sector Blog post and on the Google Moderator site.
