On Monday President Obama took part in his first on-line interview with the YouTube community, providing answers to a wide variety of questions which they provided. The questions covered a massive range of issues from a wide variety of people and were made possible by the Moderator platform. The YouTube page ‘CitizenTube’ made use of Moderator in order to allow Americans to post their questions via text or video on any issue they wanted to put to the president.
The turn-out in this online political application was astounding as over 55,000 people turned out to submit and vote on questions. This exceeded expectation so greatly that only 0.2% of the 11,696 questions submitted were able to be put forward in the final list of questions to be asked. Using the Moderator platform, the questions could be submitted in a variety of categories and could be voted-on to increase popularity. This project was obviously a great success and highlights how effective use of the Google Moderator tool can be for providing an array of questions as part of a project.
At Cozy Digital our moderator project is still underway as we look for the SEO questions that you want answered. We already have a variety of great responses but are still taking a few more to be answered so get in their while you can. We may not be the President, but I’ll wager we know more about Search Engine Optimisation.
