Who Said Google Doesn’t Have A Sense Of Humour?

Surely there is space in the world of search for a little humour, well Google certainly thinks so, its packed with little funny statements and features known as ‘Easter Eggs’.

Google Recursion Joke

One favourite Easter Egg appear when searching for the word ‘recursion’. As I’m sure we all know, recursion is a method for defining a function where that function is applied within itself (thanks Wikipedia). A good visual example of this is the ‘hall of mirrors’ effect where reflections of reflections appear to run to infinity.

If you misspell a word using Google search you’ll often get a ‘Did you mean:…’ option with the correct spelling – allowing you to quickly re-search with the proper spelling. However, for the word Recursion this option is always present, allowing you to repeatedly search for recursion over and over and….get it?

The Telegraph.co.uk has an article featuring a number of Google Easter Eggs.
