AdWords Campaign Experiments Rolled Out

We all know that comparing the relative performance of your AdWords campaign can be a tricky issue, you need some method to determine how the changes you have made have actually impacted the group or campaign you have tweaked. But keeping a copy of the change log open while sifting through the historical data is not really an ideal way of working.

If only there were  a system where you could preview the results of your changes before applying them – well there is. It’s called AdWords Campaign Experiments and it has finally been rolled out globally.

Think of it like Website Optimizer for AdWords – it’ll let you setup a number of experiments such as changes to keywords, bid values, etc and then run a test over a period of time to show you how your overall campaign would be effected.

What is even more impressive, is that it will actually analyse the data it receives to try and indicate whether it considers the results of the test to be statistically significant or not.
