New Feature To Save ‘Whole Seconds’ In Google Search!

On the back of introducing ‘real-time search’ it looks like Google have attempted to further increase their users productivity with an extension to Google Chrome called ‘Quick Scroll’.

The new Quick Scroll extension is intended to improve a users ease of search and allow them to use Google’s search capabilities even after they leave the results page. Generally once you browse to a page for your search results you have to trawl through the text to find the relevant information you’re looking for. What Quick Scroll provides is basically an improved version of the find function (control-F). It outputs a text snippet via a small black box in the bottom right hand corner of your page that could be relevant to your search. On clicking the snippet you are taken to where it appears on the page. Just like that.

For those of us always looking to maximise our efficiency, this addition could save precious seconds. Save enough and you could maybe have time for a cup of coffee!
